Samhain/Halloween 2014 Edition

Samhain, The Wiccan New Year, is the night that The God dies. The days grow shorter, and it is the last of the Harvest festivals, a time for Mother Nature to rest, and for the Goddess to mourn. In America, Halloween is on the same date as the Celtic Samhain celebration and as such is a duel holiday for us. Here are a few tidbits that have made it into our collective celebrations of this night.
